    Try this simplest method,

    git log –tags –simplify-by-decoration –pretty=”format:%ai %d”
    You have to put that command in an alias in my ~/.alias, then everytime you  run gitshowtagbydate .

    Use the given code,

    All tags of list shown by the git tag -l . The –format argument can be used to define a custom output.

    For example:

    git tag -l --format='%(refname) %(taggerdate)'
