    "projects":
    {
      "angular-app":
    {
        "root": "",
        "sourceRoot": "src",
        "projectType": "application",
        "prefix": "app",
        "schematics":
    {
        "@schematics/angular:component":
    {
            "styleext": "scss"
          }
        },
        "architect": {...}
      }
    }

    The above which has the result. So in our app, on the key schematics, we have to add a key@schematics/angular:component with the key styleext set to scss.

    Actually it’s not right for the moment you can create your projects with precompilers.You should create your project with it.

    ng new my_project --style=sass

    or if you want to use scss syntax go with:

    ng new my_project --style=scss
